Same-Day Crowns (CEREC)

The Technology

One Visit, All-Ceramic, No Compromise

CEREC (Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramic) is a proven system dentists have used worldwide since 1987. It lets Dr. De Oliveira restore a decayed, cracked, or weakened tooth—or replace an old metal filling—with a high-strength, tooth-colored ceramic restoration, all in one appointment. The ceramics are metal-free and close in composition to your natural tooth, so the result looks and feels like the real thing.

How It Compares

CEREC vs. Traditional Restorations

Exam & Preparation

Dr. De Oliveira examines the tooth, numbs the area, and gently removes decayed or weakened tissue.

Design & Mill

CEREC software builds a 3D model on screen; a shade-matched ceramic block is milled into your restoration in roughly 10–20 minutes.

Digital Optical Impression

A camera captures a digital picture of your tooth—no impression tray, no goop, about a minute.

Bond & Polish

Dr. De Oliveira checks the fit and bite, then polishes and bonds it in place. Done—no temporary, no return trip.

How It Works

Designed and Milled Right in Our Office

Everything happens chairside. The CEREC acquisition unit captures a digital model of your prepared tooth, Dr. De Oliveira designs your restoration on screen while you watch, and the in-office milling unit carves it from a solid ceramic block using diamond-tipped tools. No outside lab, no waiting.
